Merseyside club Everton will be without at least four of their first-team players when they face defending champions and league leaders in a Premier League clash billed for Goodison Park at the end of this week. The four players are midfielder Tom Davies, utility player Fabian Delph, central defender Yerry Mina and utility defender Ben Godfrey.
For Colombian defender Mina, he also has a thigh injury just like the aforementioned Davies but he’s expected to see action again this season. By the time of his thigh problem earlier this month, the former Barcelona player was ruled out for eight to ten weeks meaning that the month of April has been set for his full recovery from the injury. Fellow defender Ben Godfrey is also nursing a thigh injury at the moment, but the expectation is that he will return to action at the start of next month. In his last press conference on Thursday, new Everton manager Frank Lampard told reporters that Godfrey should be back in his squad in the next two to three weeks.
England international Delph is a long-term injury absentee at Everton and he will miss the Premier League game against his former team this weekend. The experienced player has also been out for several weeks due to a thigh injury, but he could return to action in the next two to three weeks just like Godfrey according to the latest injury update provided by Lampard in his last press conference last week.
