Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is still waiting for the next time when his whole players will be fit and have his full squad at his disposal available for selection. The German coach has endured an injury-plagued season so far as the club continue to wallow deep into injury crises.
However, he may finally have a reason to smile as one of his stand-out performers this season who is sidelined with an injury has provided a positive injury update while away.
Diogo Jota has given a hint he will be returning to the football pitch soon after he spoke in an interview with the club’s official website where he said he is doing all he can to regain full fitness and come back to help the team the best way he can.
He suffered his injury in the Champions League away fixture to Midtjylland, but the first thought was that he had a knock. It was later discovered that he suffered more than a knock and was then more serious than first feared.
The club’s number 20 said in the interview that he is putting in the entirety of his efforts to make sure that his layoff is cut short so he can return to the first team and continue to score goals just like he was doing before he picked up the injury.
He said he won’t rush things but will give himself enough time to complete the whole rehabilitation process so there won’t be any reason to regret it in the future. He however assured that it won’t take any much longer before he returns to the field of play.
Many thought that due to the injury suffered by Jota, Liverpool would lose their scoring touch and suffer in games but with four points gained from two games, including a crucial win against Tottenham, the club are doing well to play down those fears.
It is unknown when the Portuguese will return to action for the Reds, but his coach would be hoping to have him back as soon as possible as he has been missed dearly.
